A Tough Day in Pittsburgh

This image of Hines Ward sums up the feeling of the entire city.

Hines Ward cries and admits he felt that he 'let down' Jerome Bettis

We had a great season. No one can deny that. 14-0 for a rookie is no fluke. We got beat by a great team. I give huge amounts of respect to the Patriots for the class that they displayed. (Update: Now that I think about it, Branch was taunting the crowd all night. Big respect to everyone but him.)

We’ll be back next year. We can only hope that The Bus comes back to help us out.

Amen. Ben had an incredible season and any true Steelers fan should be thrilled to finally have a QB that good and excited to see what he can do next year with a full season and 2 postseason games under his belt. I wish we could have gone to the big dance, but it was a good season.

I really hope Bettis comes back for another season, but I can definitely understand why he wouldn’t. It would be nice to have Plax back too, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

Ben was steller. I would love to have the BUS back, but I could do without Plex … his mouth seemed to be the only thing running towards the end of the season. If we could only have all of our receivers like Mr. Ward.

I think that Plex should be out of the league. If he can’t make a catch over Asanti Samuel who is 7 inches shorter than him in the AFC Championship game, then he doesn’t play with any heart, doesn’t care about his team. All he says is ” 3 or 4 balls a game isn’t enough.” Well Plex, there would be 6 or 7 if you could catch and play with some heart. So long Plex – to me you will always be the reciever who never lived up to potential and who spiked a live ball against Jacksonville.

    GO STULLERS

What was the last thing he said? We\’ll be back next year. You don\’t have to cry now Hines. SUPER BOWL MVP! [edited for content]
