Dem Stillers are Good an’at

If you don’t get the title of this post, you need to spend more time in Pittsburgh.

Anyway, the Steelers have defeated the two best teams in the NFL in as many weeks. I like how that looks for their long term hopes of a post-season attempt. The offensive line looks tremendous this year. I’m very pleased with how they handled the Eagles and more importantly, the Patriots.

The inevitable question that arises is, “Do we have a shot at the Super Bowl?” I cringe to even think that far ahead. Every time I get my hopes up about something that is looking pretty good, I get shot down in the end. I’ll wait this one out. When I see the Steelers helmet crash into another helmet in the opening of the Super Bowl pre-game show I’ll believe it.

Here’s to hoping that Roethlisberger can keep this team running smoothly. Go Stillers! 😉

Is it me, or did the O line go from being ridiculously awful last year to “Holy Shee-at, did you see the hole they gave him for that run?!” this year?

Yeah, Big Ben is a really good QB, but he also has a half an hour to throw the ball … thanks to the big boys up front. Good thing he knows his role as a rookie, I see him thanking the line after every series.

    I think we’ve got a pretty good shot. 😉

Ben know’s what he’s there to do, and he’s doing it. They’ve got more depth on O in the skilled positions that an other team out there. Think about it, 3 All-Pro level wide receivers, 3 or 4 solid backs, a starter backing up the starter starter at QB.

Despite the injuries, I’d say the defense is fairing pretty well also. Scott will be back soon and then they should be even better.
