Excel Formula Bar

Does anyone have any idea why Microsoft Excel would display an actual formula rather than rendering a verdict on said formula. Any suggestions would be appreciated. See below

    where to download excel add-ins? I don't have the microsoft office disks to install this function. Have tried searching on Microsoft online website but in vain. Thanks a million.
