Everyone has their choice of web browser. Even you Windows users don’t have to use Internet Explorer, no matter how many times Microsoft reinstalls or embeds it into the operating system. Many of my close friends use Mozilla Firefox, a wonderful browser. Some use Opera. Other use iCab. Then there are the devoted Safari users. I have been a Safari user since it hit version 1.0. I’ve liked the way it handles CSS (properly) and HTML (properly). I can’t say the same thing for IE, but Safari handles valid code in a wondrous way: the way all browsers should.
Recently I have run into some issues with Safari. One is the persistence of MSNBC to deny me access to the site. I get an error dialog that reads: “bad server response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011) [pict]
Another issue is the new personalized Google search doesn’t accept Safari as a supported user agent [pict].

Who’s fault is this? Safari may have issues with IE-centric sites. Google may be taking advantage of certain features of the IE and Gecko engines. It’s hard to tell at this point, but it will be interesting to see any information turn up regarding these issues.
