We were at The Library of Yahtuul cache so we decided to skip over to Dark Hollow Capers. This was really close to Yahtuul and it was an easy way to grab two caches at once.

The hardest part of this cache was getting across the stream. We ended up taking our shoes off and wading across. We couldn’t find a bridge anywhere. There were a lot of kids wading around and catching minnows and salamanders.

We climbed up the hill and didn’t really have any trouble finding it. There were some people milling around so we tried to be discreet. We took the ‘Three Aces’ (flag) travel bug and a Luis Gonzalez bobblehead. Left a RAM keychain, Canadian penny, and a guitar pick.

p> Be careful in this area if you seek out the cache, we saw a snake sunning itself on the rocks on the way back down the trail.

We found this cache in Penn Hills Park. This cache was a ‘Book Cache’, meaning you take and leave books. A nice way to exchange some things you’ve already read.

We looked for this one for about 20 minutes. It was in a place that Matt had already checked, but since this was his first time I double checked the area and it turned up(spoiler). Unfortunately, Bridget lost her sunglasses on thiss one. So if they turn up, I hope a cacher would please grab them and contact me.

p>We found this one around 1:30 or so. We left Harry Potter & The Sorcerers Stone and took The Physics of Star Trek.

We found this cache in Salamander Park over towards Fox Chapel. It was a beautiful trail to the cache and the find only took about 4 or 5 minutes. Team Willow picked a great location for this one.

The cache contained some odd things though. There was all the standard kinda stuff, trinkets and the sort. But there was about a dozen metal nail files and a box cutter. These seem kind of dangerous to put in a cache given some of the small kids that would go for this one. The box cutter was broken and the bladed was falling out so we capped it and threw it in the trash.

p>We found this one around 5:30 or so. We left a Luis Gonzalez Bobblehead and a RAM keychain and took a Rubik’s Cube and yellow bandana.
