Did you ever think that sometimes there really aren’t 24 hours in a day? As if the planet spins ever so slightly faster at some points and then returns to normal? It seems like yesterday that I was 10 years old playing street hockey in Robesonia. I would play goalie and Matt Ohlinger would fire slapshots at me. I’d try to stop his shots with my baseball glove, or my home-made (cardboard) arm blocker and goalie pads. I dunno, I was setting up the VCR to digitize some tapes of my high school football games and I got all nostalgiac. i guess that’s what they call it. It was more like, geez, I’m a college grad, a married man, and I have life insurance. What ever happened to not having to worry about things? Remember that old saying that adults had, “Kids, move out, live your own life, be free. Pay your own rent, buy your own food…“, maybe those crazy adults were on to something. The sad part is, now I’m one of those adults. Frighteningly enough, now I actually DO know better than those confounded kids.
