Tommy Maddox

Tommy Maddox did a wonderful thing for fans of the Steelers on Sunday. He gave us all hope again. I found this doing a google search about him. Beautiful.

Dear Coach Cowher,

I’d be excited for an opportunity to come into camp and try to earn a spot on your team. Basically, it would cost you nothing. If it doesn’t work out, cut me, so be it. I’m just looking for an opportunity to get into your camp and feel confident I could win a spot if I did.

Sincerely,
Tommy Maddox

G4: The TV Channel not the Macintosh

So I was flipping through our AT&T Broadband channels last night around 3:30 in the morning when I stumbled upon G4tv. This channel is interesting to say the least. It’s TV for gamers. They review games, show cutscenes, have cheesy gameshows, and other insane-gamer shows. I’ll write a review of the one show I watched last night and post it asap. I’ll lead you into it by saying that it’s a game show from 1983 and the game Bump N Jump makes an appearance. I’m in heaven.

Waste some time / Weekend.

This certainly takes the cake for the biggest waste of time, ever. You may also want to check out this little nugget of joy. If those don’t float your boat, get addicted to this game.

p>I’ll be in State College this weekend for a going away party for one of the ladies that Bridget used to work with. We’ll also be hanging out at Simon and Michelle’s place to watch the Steelers game. Remind me to poke Kordell Stewart’s eyes out. See you on Sunday!

Where’d you get $240?

Shhhhh. Don’t you worry your pretty little head. If you folks haven’t had the chance to ever watch The State I feel bad for you. It was a sketch comedy show on MTV back in the early to mid 90’s. they had some really funny skits and I’ve nabbed two of my favorites for you to see. Our first clip is from the first show of the second season (show 201) and is entitled “Service with a Smile”. Check it out here. The second clip, from show 106, is entitled “$240 Worth Of Pudding” and is hosted by non-other than Barry and Levon Sagittarius. I hope you enjoy it. You may notice that Michael Ian Black (Phil Stubbs on the NBC show ‘Ed’) was in the show. I never realized it until just now.

Expectations

My first order of business is to get the reviews section rolling. I will then take on doing the lists section. Nice thing about it is that all of the database stuff has been ready for awhile. I just need to actually sit down and write the PHP modules for those two areas. Expect to see this stuff take shape in the next week or two. I’ll be away both weekends, but hopefully I will work on this stuff during my lunch break at work.
